In order that all Members can enjoy the playing of golf to the maximum it is vital that the Course Etiquette Rules are read, known, respected and strictly adhered to by all Members.
A booklet is given to all new Members for their guidance.
The Club Captain has first priority on the course at all times and Members and visitors should always offer to allow him through on the course. Those playing official Club Matches and official competitions should also be allowed to play through.
Slow play is not tolerated at Stanmore Golf Club. Members must turn up on the tee 5 minutes before their tee time otherwise they will be moved to the back of the field (this will be the last tee time of the morning or afternoon bookings).
Busy periods and Saturday & Sunday pace of play guidelines dictate that the maximum time taken by any group to complete their round is 4 hours. These must be strictly adhered to.
2-ball matches will invariably be below this limit but the limit of 4 hours is the yardstick for all matches and competitions and we expect all our members and visitors to meet.
The Club monitors this situation, particularly on Saturdays and Sundays, and the offenders are generally asked to improve their pace of play.
